My June subscription box from Sephora focused on minimalist products to give you low-key looks for summer. This box was a little bit better from last months box. Though I own half the products, these sample sizes will be great for travel. The one outstanding product I’ve wanted to try is the Bare Minerals bronzing serum.
This product can work in many different ways. Add it to your foundation for an all around glow, use it alone on the face, or contour and bronze up your cheekbones for a sun kissed look. This is a great summer product, deepening and adding a glow to your normal foundation shade. Since I’ve been spending more time outside, my foundation tends to be a little light compared to my body shade. Add a drop or two of this bronzer and you can still use the same shade throughout summer. This product is simple to use and adds just the right amount of glow, great for some outside fun!

I've been trying out a new concept for TRESemme Haircare. The TRESemmé Beauty-FULL Volume Collection is a hair care system specially designed to work in reverse. This concept believes that sometimes conditioners can weight down your hair, therefore this system calls for conditioner first, shampoo last. With the technology in their products, this hair system is said to leave your hair smooth and polished, but still full of bounce.
My experience: This concept sounded intriguing to me, and I honestly thought it wasn’t going to work to my liking. I’m a person who loves her conditioner; I usually wash through the shampoo process pretty quick, because I love how my hair feels after conditioning it.
Well, the process itself wasn’t anything spectacular. I was hoping the last step using the shampoo would still give me that conditioner feeling, allowing me to run my hands through my hair for days. Well, that wasn’t the case. Instead it felt like a normal hair routine, but just in reverse! Initially I thought, no, this product doesn’t work for me. Well, the results are in, and I can see a difference. The next day, my hair felt soft, smooth and bouncy! The product actually worked!
I will continue to use this product to see if the results remain, but I’m pretty happy with how my hair feels and looks. If you are looking for more volume and a little more bounce to your hair, definitely give this new reverse concept a try!

Before stepping out for some summer fun, turn to these products to get your beauty summer glow! Since the weather is getting warmer, I like to keep things simple and easy. I always reach for my Peter Thomas Roth Sunscreen moisturizer as a base. If I’m headed outdoors to the beach or pool, I like to apply this to my face and neck. If I’m looking for a little bit of coverage, I reach for my favorite BB cream from Tarte and spray some MAC fix plus for a refreshing finish.
This spray from Alterna is specifically for curly hair, but I’ve enjoyed using it to apply before headed out to the beach. It keeps my hair hydrated and shining, fueling my hair with oils keeping it sleek and frizz free. It also works great if I have day old curls, giving me a beachy wave look, reactivating it to loose and wavy curls. Finally, I can’t forget my Sun Bum sunscreen. I like to use a spray bottle especially for a day where we will be getting wet and on the go. The spray application makes it no fuss, easy and quick to apply.
So grab that bikini, reach for that hat, and head outdoors with these summer time favorites sure to get you ready for that summer time glow!

Sometimes all you need is a simple classic bun. I’m notorious for always wearing hair ties around my wrist in the instant that I want to put my hair up quickly. An easy way to get your hair out of the way, but still look put together is a bun. I like to opt for a high bun since it suits my frame the best way. This hairstyle only requires a few hair ties and some Bobbie pins if you really want to be precise. I usually don’t use Bobbie pins since I can create a bun on hair ties alone.
Got short hair? You can still rock a half top knot, grabbing the top half of your hair to work with. Working with 2nd day old hair works best, meaning don’t wash your hair right before or the night before. Making it even easier, working with 2 days old curls can help with the texture and keeping your bun to stay in place. If you are ever looking to change your hair style, but still look put together, go for a high bun, you can’t go wrong. It will give your look a change and make you look fashionable and functional especially for the warmer months ahead.
