Continuing my Erno Laszlo ritual now thanks to Influenster, I’m able to keep my skin nourished and hydrated during these winter months. My face is now prepped for these cooler dryer days. I believe having a routine, and using products that work for your skin are key.
The cleansing Power of 2 ritual includes a cleansing oil and soap bar. This double action cleanse is meant to break down the impurities, attacking them double strong. I’ve enjoyed this process. The oil breaks down all the residue I had on my face from the day, then the lathering of the soap makes me feel extra cleansed. You feel like you’ve attacked all that you can with good for you ingredients such as Antioxidant-rich rose extract, sunflower oil, and macadamia oil. Try this product out for yourself!
Have you ever wanted to apply your beloved lipstick but for some reason now, it won’t glide on as easily, producing a dry and flaky lip? Well it’s probably because your lips need a little extra TLC, especially during the winter months. Here is a home DIY lip mask I use especially leading up to the day I know I’m going to wear a bold lip for an upcoming event or look.
Here are the ingredients:
¼ teaspoon raw honey
½ teaspoon virgin coconut oil
½ teaspoon brown sugar
3 drops rose oil (optional)
I place these ingredients in a bowl and mix together until incorporated. This portion is good for 10 uses! A little goes a long way! Bottle up your remaining mixture into a sealed tight container and store in a cool dry place.
Upon rubbing the mask into your lip, you’ll start to feel the mixture melt and saturate into your lips, so don’t apply too much at one time. I leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes then wipe off with a damp cloth. Your lips will feel soft, exfoliated and rejuvenated. I like to finish off with applying my favorite lip balm. If handling a DIY is not your cup of tea, the sugar lip mask from Fresh is my favorite lip mask. It’s a thicker texture than the one I make, and the smell of it is just so delicious!
Don't let the winter days keep you from wearing your favorite lip color. Give you lips the pampering it needs. Both masks have the same results for me, producing soft ready to wear lips for those long lipstick days ahead.
When my days are chaotic in the morning I sometimes don’t have the time to do my hair. In comes my straightener to the rescue. It’s a quick and easy way to get a sleek, put together shine into your look. There’s something about flat ironing your hair, which makes it look so much more neat and clean. Wearing you hair straight is great for Fall looks, keeping your hair frizzes tamed and polished for those windy days. I’ve been currently using the GHD straightener, which not only straightens my hair very quickly, but also gives it a nice shine and glow to my hair.
So the next time you’re looking for something more to do with your hair reach for that straightener for that salon finish look. Simplicity doesn’t have to be boring, it just has to be done right.
From cleansing oil to moisturizing oils, I’m sharing with you my top picks that I’m loving at the moment. I’ve been using this Origins cleansing oil to remove all my makeup from the day. It works well, takes everything off easily and smells like you’re in a spa. I switched to cleansing oil about 6 months ago and love this way of removing all the dirt from my face. I would definitely turn to this option if you want to get rid of your makeup easily and also keeps the skin hydrated and moisturized. I just recently started using the Erno Laszlo 2 step cleansing oil routine and have enjoyed it so far. This routine doesn’t get rid of all the makeup on my face, so make sure to rid of all the dirt beforehand.
I’ve tried a few face oils, and some have failed my expectations, but these two have worked for my skin. The Korres Wild Rose Brightening oil has a wonderful rose scent that I love so much. I usually apply a few drops after cleansing my face. I just recently purchased the Sunday Riley UFO oil and like it so far. A little goes a long way. This oil contains 1.5 percent salicylic acid, which can help clearing any clogged up pores you may have. So don’t let you skin suffer this upcoming winter season. If you suffer from dry patches of skin, try a moisturizing face oils, it’ll be sure to keep your skin hydrated and soft!
