2/28/2016 0 Comments Burberry Quilt JacketThere are a few staple items I think every closet should have. This black quilt jacket from Burberry is a great staple item that can easily transition you from fall to spring, and is just a great jacket to have all year round! I’ve had this jacket for years, and it continues to be one of my favorites. Here’s a tip: Nordstrom and Burberry usually have their end of season sale, and Burberry is a great find! That’s when I scored this beauty, for 40% off!! So keeping checking, and maybe you’ll find that gem for yourself. I love the lightweight feel, making it easy to layer during those cold months, or just enough for those spring days. This particular style is form fitting, making it flattering on each body type. It comes with a belt, which gives it a cute add on piece. It’s got a pop up collar with the iconic Burberry print under it. I love Burberry jackets because of its quality, durability, and subtle but noticeable signature brand print. This particular style also has a zipper option, as well as button closures. I rarely wear it zipped up, as I like to style it being open and show the beautiful hardware off. Burberry quilted jackets are quite the investment. I am willing to invest in a good overcoat, because they are essential in keeping you warm, but also because I want something that will last me years. Let me tell you, this has been through a lot, from snow, rain, to kids little snack fingers rubbing all over it. It is easy to clean and I cannot believe how after all that its been through and the amount of years that I’ve owned it, it still is in pristine condition, giving off it’s luxury brand name look at every occasion. So if you've ever wondered about investing in a Burberry quilt jacket, it's totally worth it!

2/21/2016 0 Comments A dainty little thingI love this dainty jewelry trend I'm seeing everywhere around lately. I think it compliments any look, it is so girly, and gives the right amount of statement a look needs. It can be worn day and night. I’m not into really large statement jewelry pieces, I don’t always feel comfortable, and don’t like the heaviness of some of the pieces. So dainty pieces are great for me. I wear it, and don’t even feel the pieces on me. It gives the right amount of touch to my casual looks that I wear daily. I would highly recommend this type of jewelry for that girl who wants to wear a little bit of something but not too much. I was walking through the mall and came upon a kiosk that offered a whole array of dainty jewelry. It’s called V.T.B.L.T, which stands for very tiny bling little thing. Haha, how cute is that! They carried everything from rings, bracelets, necklaces, anklets, and earrings. I asked the salesperson where these jewelry pieces were made, and she said they are all shipped from Korea. The company states “VTBLT cares about your health the most. All our product is mostly processed with nickel free finish and using 925 silver, surgical, and titanium material”. All I can say is the quality of the pieces are there. They are on trend, keeping up with the current and latest designs. I have owned and worn my pieces everyday for over a month and have been happy with my purchase. I was a little hesitant at first about the durability of the pieces, because they are so dainty, but it has held up! I would say the price for these pieces are definitely reasonable. I’m happy with all my pieces I have and would recommend it if you are in the market for some good quality dainty jewelry!

Do you remember that feeling where you saw it, and you gasped for air? Or that instant feeling of knowing that you had to have exactly what you were looking at? These are all the exact same feelings I had the first time I fell in love with my first every Louis Vuitton handbag. Haha, don’t worry, I wasn’t about to gush all the details on my love life, besides, this is a fashion blog after all! Instead, I’m talking about my other first love…my love for designer handbags and the one that started it all. I remember the first time I saw this bag and knew right away I was in love. Anyone that knows me knows that I have a love (and pretty substantial collection) for handbags. I remember the day I walked into a Louis Vuitton store and saw this adorably cute handbag. At the time, I couldn’t yet afford such a luxury myself, so I did some convincing and persuaded my generous mother who gifted and fulfilled my dream of owing my very first high-end designer bag. I’m sure she remembers just as much as I do how much I wanted and adored this bag. It took this little piece of gem to start what has now become a love of mine in collecting designer handbags. While I cherish, have worked hard for, and have taken care of each and every piece I own, this one holds a special place in my heart. One because it was gifted to me by my mother, but also because I still remember how I would care for it, was so excited for, and couldn’t believe I actually had a designer handbag in my possession. The things that I own always have a story and memory that are attached to it. Some of my handbags have come and gone, I’ve sold, or given away ones that I didn’t have a need for anymore. This handbag is small, and at this point in my life doesn’t fit my lifestyle with kids and all, but I will never get rid of it. I will always cherish the meaning of it, the memories that come along with it, and remember it as my first love… a love, a piece that maybe one day I can pass on to my daughter. This red dress is by Marc by Marc Jacobs, and is one of my favorite go to dresses for any special event. I’ve owned it for many years and have used it on multiple occasions. When looking through my closet and deciding what my outfit of choice should be, this was an easy pick. The red and white, with soft delicate fabric was meant for Valentine’s Day. It’s a soft dress, with movement and a whimsical feel, very much a girly dress. The ruffles at the bodice and hem make it for the perfect dress that’s effortless and a standout on its own. I chose to wear a skinny belt at the waistline to give me more of a shape and less of that draping look, which can make you seem bigger than you are. If you ever fall in love with a dress that you think makes you look too boxy, synch in your waist (which is the smallest part of your body) to give a shape to your body. Because this dress is such a girly look, I wanted to bring a little edge to it, and give it a bit more of a casual look. In comes my trusty leather jacket. Leather jackets are so versatile and a great investment to have in your wardrobe. As soon as I throw this jacket on top of the dress, it instantly changes the look, giving me a rocker chic look. Mixing fabrics from opposite ends of the spectrum is something I like to do often. When trying to pick out a jacket to go on top of this dress, I knew immediately that I wanted to go with this jacket. There are many types of leather jackets out there both real and faux, all at every price point. I chose my black cutout lace up heeled bootie. These booties are so comfortable because of its big blocked heel. I can walk comfortably and the lace up front gives it just the look I want, making me feel fashionable and stylish. When selecting my purse of choice, I of course had to go with my new ysl clutch, the great pop of red goes so well and makes the look complete, while keeping things all hands free for this special day! Whatever your Valentines day look of choice maybe, make sure it’s something your are comfortable in, and something that makes you feel girly and lovely at the same time. See you all in my next post where I break down the makeup and jewelry for this Valentine’s Day look! Xoxo Sam Link of items found online: Bag Shoes |
