I’m by far not a techie and I for sure don’t keep up with what’s new and trending in technology world, that's my husbands expertise, but when the Apple watch debuted it’s presence in the watch world, there was something that drew me towards it. I was attracted to the fact that it was a smart watch that could do what my phone did, and I liked the heart monitor feature that would do my calorie count when working out.
To be honest, I thought I would just wear it for the first few months then go back to my other more fashionable watches, but it’s been over a year later, and I still wear it almost everyday. I was a little worried that it would look to manly and techie for my outfits, but surprisingly I think it blends in well with a lot of my everyday looks. The interchanging straps have made it fun to accessorize with, finding cool and unique designs to change up the watch.
I purchased this double loop wrap strap on Amazon, and while I like the aesthetic and fashionable look to it, but it’s not that functional. The sensor needs to be placed snuggly onto your wrist at all times to get all it’s correct functions and this strap just doesn’t do that. My favorite strap I use this with is the Apple brand milanese strap that was purchased with the watch. It’s sleek, matches the watch and gets the job done. I would like to purchase the leather clip strap that apple makes, but it’s just so expensive that I’m still on the search for alternatives.
Overall I love my apple watch and wear mine almost everyday. I guess you could say it’s my one fashion accessory that keeps me feeling techie in this new day where technology fills up our everyday lives.
