Last weekend we celebrated the Marine Corps 241st Birthday. Every year there’s a ball in which the service members wear their Dress Blues, while the spouses get to dress up and get glam. For the past three years it’s been in Las Vegas, so we use it as a weekend getaway with out the kids, time for just the hubs and I.
We’ve been to Las Vegas many times and every time we go there’s always something new developing. It’s such a busy and upcoming city that grows and grows. Many may think that there’s nothing to do but gamble, but we are not big gamblers (although I do enjoy my penny slots). There’s so much to do and enjoy. Here’s a list of things to do besides Gamble:
See a show: Our favorite has to be any of the Cirque du Soliel shows. There’s every type of show, so just pick your favorite!
Eat at a specialty restaurant: So many celebrity chefs have their own restaurants so this is the perfect opportunity to try one.
Eat at a Buffet: These famous buffets are some of the best and offer top-notch quality food. Be sure to come hungry and pace yourself!
Walk the Hotels: My favorite hotel to visit every time is the Bellagio. It’s got a great garden that changes every season, bringing in fresh and unique flower floats and arrangements.
Book a spa: The hotels offer some luxurious spa facilities, book an appointment then spend all day lounging and relaxing in the spa.
Caesar Forum Shops: They have every shop you could think of all in one area. These store carry so much inventory, don’t be surprised if you find something you couldn’t find in your local area.
Las Vegas Premium Outlet: Who doesn’t love some outlet shopping!
Local attractions: Shows such as Pawn Stars and Tanked are tapped in the local area.
Enjoy your company: Whether it’s a weekend away for you and your spouse or with a bunch of friends, enjoy the time, spend it together with fun and laughter (it’s Vegas, there’s always something to talk about!)
I hope this list helps and if you find yourself headed to Vegas you try one of these options!
